Suhaylah Ahmad Ali 

I am a Zoologist and lab tech with a special interest in the ecology and evolution of infectious diseases. I combine a professional focus on research with a deep love for scientific illustration. I am also a past-time cyclist who reads biology-based non-fiction and frequently documents wildlife around me!

I started sketching animals as a way to sudy their anatomy and capture life around me. I now understand that art pairs really well with research! Since exploring digital art, I've the design of stickers, t-shirts, fieldwork logos, and private art commisions.

As a Summer Systematics Institute intern, at the California Academy of Sciences, I worked to resolve the phylogenetic placement of a collection of Indo-Pacific nudibranchs, also known as sea slugs

The Agbirds disease ecology project aimed to identify and understand the differences between disease occurrence and parasitemia in wild birds residing in agricultural and natural habitats
